Lille line up free transfer swoop for QPR defender

first_img1 Lille are lining up a move for former Arsenal and Juventus left-back Armand Traore, who is entering the final year of his QPR contract.The 25-year-old made 16 Premier League appearances last season as the Hoops were relegated from England’s top-flight.And reports in France have suggested he could be allowed to leave for free this summer, despite being under contract until this time next year.Now Lille are hopeful of striking a deal for the left-back who has never played professional football in France, despite being born in Paris.Traore came through the ranks at Arsenal, and spent time on loan at Portsmouth and Juve before moving permanently to QPR in 2011.He has gone on to make a total of 93 appearances for the west London club, scoring two goals.
