Former New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has been appointed offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos.Shurmur was fired by the Giants in December after two seasons in charge of the NFL franchise, where he managed a 9-23 record. The 54-year-old, however, has landed on his feet after joining the Broncos for the 2020 season.”Pat is an established play-caller with significant experience leading an offense as both a coordinator and head coach,” head coach Vic Fangio said on Tuesday. “Having coached against Pat for a number of years, he’s always impressed me. His track record of developing younger players is outstanding. Pat brings a collaborative approach to working with the staff as well as a flexibility to adjust the offense to our players and opponents.
