Bulldogs Grapplers Participate At Rushville 5-Way Meet

first_imgThe Batesville wrestling team traveled to Rushville to compete in the Rushville 5-way wrestling duals.  Competing teams include: Batesville, Centerville, Connersville, Greensburg, and Rushville. The Rushville Lions ended the day in first place winning all dual match-ups.Despite losing the overall team dual scores the Bulldogs had many good individual wins on the day.  This was led by senior Chris Schene ending his day with four wins and zero losses in the 152 lb class.  Additional Bulldogs leading the team include Caleb Bischoff-Niese and JT Linkel (a pair of freshman) earning three wins on the day each.Team results: Batesville 30, Centerville 48; Batesville 30, Greensburg 45; Batesville 21, Connersville 51; Batesville 21, Rushville 48.Individual varsity results: 106 lb – Caleb Bischoff-Niese 3-1, 113 lb – Forfeit, 120 lb – Forfeit, 126 lb – JT Linkel 3-1, 132 lb -Jonah Chase 1-3, 138 lb – Jon Vincent 2-2, 145 lb – Ethan Meyer 1-1, Conner Batchelor 0-2, 152 lb – Chris Schene 4-0, 160 lb – Nick Schneider 0-4, 170 lb – Axel Garcia 1-3, 182 lb – Abram Garcia 0-4, 195 lb – Jon Kurtz 2-1, 220 lb – Drew Garbarini 1-3, 285 lb – Forfeit.Individual Reserve results: Dallas Lamping 2-0, Malachi Kirby 1-0, Mason Green 0-1.Courtesy of Bulldogs Coach Chris Deal.last_img read more
